Yokogawa knowledgebase for Transmitters: EJA-E (Part one)
Jan 04, 2019

Question: What are the four major measurements for process control?

Answer:1. Pressure 2. Flow 3. Level 4. Temperature

Question: How is the EJA-E different than EJA-A series ?

Answer:EJA-E series offers enhanced performance in terms of Reference accuracy, Response time, Multi-sensing, Long term stability

Question: What is the Reference Accuracy (%span) of the EJA110E and the EJA115E?

Answer:The Reference Accuracy (%span) is +/- 0.055%. For the EJA110E - only for wetted parts material code: S. Wetted parts material code "S" is Hastelloy C-276 Diaphragm, 316 SST Capsule, Flanges, Vent and Drain

Question: What is the Reference Accuracy (%span) of the EJA130E?

Answer: The Reference Accuracy (%span) is +/- 0.055%.

Question: What is the Reference Accuracy (%span) of the EJA430E?

Answer: The Reference Accuracy (%span) is +/- 0.055%. Only for the wetted parts material code: S.Wetted parts material code "S" is Hastelloy C-276 Diaphragm, 316 SST Capsule, Flanges, Vent and Drain

Question: What is the Range of the new "H" capsule for the Gauge EJA430E?

Answer: The Range for the new "H" capsule for the Guage EJA430E is -400 to +2,000 inH2O.

Question: What is the Range of the new "B" Capsule for the Absolute EJA310E?

Answer:The Range of the new "B" Capsule for the Absolute EJA310E is 0 to 2,300 psia.

Question: What is the Long term Stability period for the EJA-E series?

Answer: The Long term Stability period for the EJA-E series is 0.1% of URL per 7 years.

Question: Why didn’t I receive a material certificate for the high side cover flange and “futbol” type connector between the cover flange and process flange on my EJA/X 210/220?

Answer:The Material Certificate option M for the EJA and EJX series of pressure transmitters refer to only wetted materials or parts that will come into direct contact with a process. The futbol type connector piece and high side cover (transmitter) flange shouldn’t interact with the process and therefore are not considered wetted parts.

Question: Can I use a 2 valve gauge manifold on a DP transmitter?

Answer:Yes, if you are utilizing the low side of the transmitter as an atmospheric reference. Make sure to vent the low side of the transmitter for the atmospheric reference.

Question: Can remote seals be attached to the EJA-A, EJA-E, or EJX210/220?

Answer:No. YCA does not mix and match third party seals with our proprietary flanged mounted seal transmitters.

Question: What is the Universal flange?

Answer:The universal flange allows for vertical or horizontal pipe mounting. The transmitter cover flanges contain drain and vent plugs on two of the exposed flange sides which allows for vertical or horizontal mounting.

Question: What is the maximum working pressure for the EJA110E?

Answer:It is 2300 psig and 3600 psig with the /HG option.  NOTE:  The /HG option is only available with the M, H and V capsules with S wetted materials (No L or F capsule).

Question: Will mounting a DP transmitter horizonatally or vertically affect my pressure reading?

Answer:Yes. Rotation in diaphragm plane has no effect, but tiltingup to 90 degree will cause zero shift up to 1.6 inH2O which can be corrected by the zero adjustment screw.

Question: For traditonal flange mount style pressure transmitters, what is the material of the gasket between the capsule and the flange?

Answer:The gasket is Teflon coated 316SS for our standard wetted materials (S code) and solid PTFE Teflon for all other wetted material options.
