Method for reducing measurement error of pressure transmitter
Nov 01, 2018

The pressure transmitter may cause errors during pressure transmission:

1. The pressure difference between the pressure guiding tubes on both sides of the pressure transmitter causes different density (causing the head error).

2. Leakage

3. Wear loss

4. There is gas in the liquid pipeline installed in the pressure transmitter (causing the head error)

5. There is liquid in the gas pipeline installed in the pressure transmitter (causing the head error)

The method to reduce the error is as follows:

1. The pressure guiding tube is as short as possible;

2. When the pressure transmitter is measuring liquid or steam, the pressure guiding tube is connected upward to the process pipe, and the inclination should be not less than 1/12;

3. Pressure transmitter When measuring gas, the pressure guiding tube is connected downward to the process pipe, and its inclination should be no less than 1/12;

4. The layout of the liquid pressure guiding pipeline should avoid the occurrence of high points in the middle, and the layout of the gas pressure guiding tube should avoid the occurrence of low points in the middle;

5. When using a cleaning agent, the connection of the cleaning agent should be close to the pressure port of the process pipe. The length and diameter of the pipe through which the cleaning agent passes should be the same. The cleaning agent should be prevented from passing through the pressure transmitter;

6. The same temperature should be maintained between the two pressure guiding tubes;

7. In order to avoid the influence of friction, the diameter of the pressure guiding tube should be large enough;

8. There should be no gas in the pressure-filled tube filled with liquid;

9. When using spacer fluid, the liquid on both sides of the pressure guiding tube should be the same.
