Different Stainless Steel with Different Function
Apr 02, 2019

1. 301 stainless steel exhibits obvious work hardening during deformation and is used in various occasions requiring higher strength.

2. 302 stainless steel has a higher carbon content and can be used for higher strength by cold rolling.

303 stainless steel contains sulfur for easy cutting, mainly for occasions requiring high cutting and high surface finish

3.304L is a low carbon stainless steel for applications requiring soldering. The lower carbon content minimizes the precipitation of carbides in the heat affected zone near the weld, which may lead to intergranular corrosion (welding corrosion) in certain environments.

4.305 stainless steel contains high nickel and its work hardening rate is low, which is suitable for various occasions with high requirements for cold formability.

5.314 austenitic heat-resistant stainless steel, good resistance to high temperature oxidation and creep resistance

6.316 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel. Due to the addition of Mo element, it has a great improvement in corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. It can withstand high temperatures up to 1200-1300 degrees and can be used under harsh conditions.

7.430F stainless steel is a steel grade with 430 steel for easy cutting performance. For automatic lathes, bolts and nuts, etc. 430LX adds Ti or Nb to 430 steel, lowers C content, improves processability and weldability. For hot water tanks, hot water systems, sanitary appliances, household durable appliances, bicycle flywheels, etc.
